I'm at level 60 now, going to try get through evil Blighttown this weekend. My friend has been asking me to actually progress in the game, so I'm going back to the main story again. He tried to retreat then, but I had enough time to get in 7 stabbing blows, and I got 21,000 souls. Then he tried to swing, and the huge sword got stuck in the trees. Bit by bit he followed me in, as I teased him with arrows. Then I had an idea - make him follow me into the forested area. The other night I had to fight a much higher level player, who had a huge sword with a big swing. There has been some great fights, and the tactics are interesting. I'm only winning about 1 in 5 matches, but still want more. To progess, you have to invade three players games, and kill them. Its very hard to pair up though, Dark Souls will actually exit if you join a Party! About two weeks ago, I joined the Forest Hunter Covenant. We both bought XBox live, I used the link above from Probe to buy it cheap. We did this for another few Thursdays, and its been the most fun I've had gaming in a long time. I spent half the night playing my own game, and half the night watching his screen. Its been years since I just watched someone else play. We both played on screens next to each other, neither of us had Gold so we couldn't link up. So I brought my XBox to his house, and started a brand new character. He had gotten Dark Souls free with Games for Gold, and wanted to try it. The following Thursday I was telling my story to a friend of mine. Of course, there is one more question - is Dark Souls 2 as good as the first game? :) Looking online, I see sites like kinguin selling Divinity (€18) and Dark Souls 2 (€33) keys for cheapĪre such sites legit? Will face any sanctions from Steam if I buy a key from a third party site? Its still €50 on Steam, I should have got it when it was half price during the sale. So I'm thinking of just jumping to Dark Souls 2 on PC. Dark Souls is definitely better when you're online, but I don't feel like paying for Gold just for it. I haven't used my XBox this year, and my Gold sub has lapsed. But I got distracted by some other game, and never got back to it. Last year, I played about 20 hours of Dark Souls 1 on XBox, really enjoyed it. All of a sudden, I have a mad taste to play an RPG type game.
